Fine Arts

As God is the Creator of all things, He is also the Master Artist. Whether it is on canvas, on the stage, through instruments, or by our voices, it is He who has given these gifts of creativity. "In the beginning, God created…" (Genesis 1:1).Created in His image (Genesis 1:27) we create.Through embellishments we glorify (Exodus 25:10-30:10) and as Bezelel we are gifted (Exodus 31:1-6).

Fine Arts Study is the intentional study of writing, drama, music, and visual arts. The principles of design, harmony, balance, rhythm, unity, repetition, contrast, and dominance are principles of God to be recognized, learned and developed in all areas of our lives. Students are consistently challenged to appreciate what is beautiful and recognize the creativity of the Creator. Learning to draw is learning to see; learning to play music is learning to hear; to see and to hear more deeply, more richly, more emotionally - more spiritually - the way we long to see and hear God. Thus, we are awakened to Him and our gifts used to worship and adore Him.

Each year our students are given many opportunities to glorify God through their giftedness. Our 2015-2016 school year production of Fiddler on the Roof demonstrated our commitment to excellence in fine arts. The images below are from that production.
